Mission

The mission of Commander, Carrier Strike Group ELEVEN is to plan for and exercise operational and tactical command of air, surface, and subsurface forces at sea, in a multi-threat environment, in pursuit of national objectives. The mission of the Staff is to support the Commander.

Hello Carrier Strike Group 11 Families!

I am your command ombudsman Nicole Hammer.

An ombudsman is a volunteer position designated by the command to serve as a communication link between the commanding officer and command family members, as well as your go to person for information and referrals. I am available, whether your Sailor is here or away, and can send and receive communications between the Admiral, Chief of Staff, Command Master Chief and our families. I am happy to support you and provide information on the Navy family resources available to you. I am also required to follow the guidelines of confidentiality as required by the Navy Family Ombudsman Program.

One of my essential responsibilities to CCSG-11 and our families is to maintain good contact information for our families, particularly when the command is deployed. This enables me to act as disaster coordinator in the event of an emergency and work with the command to ensure everyone is accounted for.

My husband and I have been married for almost ten years, while he has been active duty. We have been stationed in Washington since 2018, and I have had multiple jobs and different positions in the community, so feel free to reach out for any information about the local area as well! We have four kids, have made many moves, and have been through several deployments. I am sincerely looking forward to providing support that you might need during your time at the command.

You may contact me through phone or e-mail at the contact information included below. I check both periodically throughout the day. Please let me know how I can be of assistance, and I look forward to meeting you!
