Dear Families of the Manchester Blue Crew,

As your Command's Ombudsman, it is my responsibility to ensure that you have access to the resources and information you need to support your loved ones who serve in the United States Navy. I would like to take this opportunity to reach out to you and provide some information about the services available to you as family members of our Command's Sailors.

Firstly, I would like to thank you for your support of your loved ones who serve our country. Your sacrifice and commitment are greatly appreciated by all of us here at the Command. We recognize that serving in the Navy can be challenging, both for the Sailors and their families, and we are committed to providing the support you need to make this journey as smooth as possible.

As an Ombudsman, my role is to serve as a liaison between the Command and the families of our Sailors. I am here to listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and help you access the resources you need to support your loved ones. Whether you need information about Navy programs and benefits, or you simply need someone to talk to, I am here to assist you.

In addition to my role as an Ombudsman, there are many other resources available to you as family members of our Command's Sailors. The Navy Family Ombudsman Program is a network of trained volunteers who serve as a link between the Command and families. The Fleet and Family Support Centers (https://sandiego.navylifesw.com/fleet-family/support-center/ffsc-) services provide a wide range of services, including counseling, financial management, and deployment support. Military OneSource (https://www.militaryonesource.mil/) is another resource available to you, offering free, confidential counseling, and support services.

Finally, I want to assure you that the Command is committed to the safety and well-being of all our Sailors. We take our responsibility to provide a safe and healthy work environment very seriously, and we work hard to ensure that our Sailors are well-trained, well-equipped, and well-prepared for their missions. If you have any concerns about the safety or well-being of your loved one, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or your Command leadership.

I want to express my gratitude to you for your support of our Sailors and our Command. We are proud of the work we do, and we know that we could not do it without the support of our families. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Respectfully,

Twyla Hamlet, Command Ombudsman, USS Manchester Blue Crew
